☎️The Ultimate Cold Calling Script for B2B/Software
five reasons why sales is the best career out there if you’re working in sales now or looking to get in sales make sure to hit the like button below on this video right now it really helps support the channel and the algorithm will actually help funnel more sales content directly to you the number one reason why sales is the best career is flexible work schedule and autonomy in the role the beautiful thing and the difficult thing about sales is its performance based you have a quarterly quota no matter what industry you work in and most companies don’t require you to say hey you got to be in the office at 7 30 or you got to be in at 9. of course that will dictate manager by manager company to company but at the end of the day either you hit your number or you don’t hit your number and whatever it takes to hit that number you must do the earlier in the year or the quarter you hit that number the more leeway and flexibility you’ll have later on because you’re not necessarily back against the wall need to go perform and the autonomy piece comes in because you have a sales manager the sales manager’s role is to help you close more deals and become more successful but ultimately think of yourself as a franchise owner you are a franchise you have a book of business of maybe 300 companies that you can sell into and it is your job to maximize the revenue potential in each of those companies and you’re essentially your own business owner so you can work as much or as little as you want as long as you can hit your number that’s all that matters at the end of the day the second reason why sales is the best career is that it is the career path best position to act as a career stepping stone what do we mean by that many organizations are large or bureaucratic are political and you need to know the right people or be liked by the right leaders in order to move up in the organization the best thing about sales in my own personal experience working in software sales for the last three years is that it’s performance based like we said that will dictate your pay but that will also dictate you advancing in the organization most old organizations still are very bureaucratic and political and you can’t avoid that but many of the progressive companies nowadays especially my company in order to promote it’s very binary it’s black and white if you hit your number you promote if you don’t hit your number you don’t promote and when we think about advancing in your career going from a low-level sales development representative or an entry-level salesperson to a revenue closing role to a larger enterprise rep where you’re working bigger deals can make more money you have the ability to go on that path a pure individual contributor if you’re really good and want to maximize your earning potential or you can decide to go into leadership and it’s the same thing if your team performs in leadership you will continue to get recognized and you’re able to climb up the ranks of an organization so that you can begin to get an operational role perhaps a chief revenue officer and then parlay that into becoming the ceo one day or as high level as you’re looking to go sales gives you that flexibility to move up an organization fast because you control your destiny based on your performance the number three reason why sales is the best career is the earning potential everyone talks about sales you make a lot of money and you absolutely can make a lot of money my first year out of college i made fifty thousand dollars at 25 less than three years out of college my on target earnings are around 130 140 000 i’ve three x my income in three years and that’s absolutely possible for you as well getting into sales because it is performance based and if you sell a lot of deals you will make more money at the end of the day as long as you’re not capped on commission rates and if you have any sort of accelerators and you get to the big level enterprise reps you can be making 200 300 400 500 plus thousand dollars a year solely by performing really well in the role so if you’re looking to master a skill that’s always important and make a lot of money throughout the way sales is absolutely the best career for you if you’re enjoying this video so far make sure to subscribe to the channel now we’re trying to grow to 100 000 we’re not going to get there without your support so really appreciate you watching to this point and the fourth reason why sales is the best career is because you control your destiny and that’s been an underlying theme in this entire video autonomy flexibility you really do control your destiny of course you could feel like you have bad territory you gotta unlucky balance of the ball but ultimately you decide the inputs you decide how much time you spend how much effort and energy you put into meeting with customers setting up meetings trying to close deals putting together proposals whatever it takes to generate more revenue and you ultimately control your destiny because if you’re willing to do whatever it takes to go hit your number then you will be acknowledged then you will advance your career and you will make a lot of money throughout the way and that’s the part that i really like about it because i have friends that work in consulting i have friends that work in finance and oftentimes that’s the deliverable base you’re doing projects you’re doing one-off assignments and your entire career is based off of does your leader like you does your leaders literally like you and that’s all that matters because you don’t necessarily have a clear-cut metric of did you produce by hitting your number or did you not and that’s what i really like about sales the fifth reason why sales is the best career is because the skill set you are learning in mastering is always in demand if you join a company you work for for one year five years ten years and you really master how to close deals and generate revenue all organizations name any industry name any company all organizations need a sales function accelerating top line revenue growth is what organizations care about and in order to do that you need a sales horse so the skills you learn in sales are transferable to any industry any job ultimately it’s communication it’s persuasion it’s negotiation a lot of different skills that are always going to be valuable in the marketplace and then the next question is what industry you get in i recommend software sales that’s how i talk about this channel look into technology you’re at the cutting edge of innovation and helping transform and shape the way in which we work the way in which we live and interact with one another and how society moves forward the possibilities are endless and it’s really exciting to me so thanks so much for watching this video i hope you enjoy the five reasons why sales is the best career i did just wake up i did just pour hands i’m trying to control my mannerisms so i have a full cup of coffee that i’m drinking but simultaneously it’s kept my hand moving down a little bit so if you drink coffee make sure to comment
